Formscan  - Willie Mullins has sent out three of the last five winners of this race and has a strong chance of enhancing that record with COLUMBUS, who was a Group 3 winner in France and was also pitched at Group 1 level during his time with his previous yard. Having finished one place in front of stable companion Mr Hollywood when they were second and third in a novice hurdle at Killarney last month, the five-year-old gets the vote. The well-travelled Le Destrier completes a strong hand for Mullins and could be a bigger danger with the booking of Ryan Moore being a signal of intent. Last year's Copper Horse winner French Master, along with the 2025 Gold Cup runner-up, Illinois, are other serious players.
