He is clearly no star but has already won a point to point, is proven at this trip and on testing ground and comes here fit and well. He is clearly vulnerable to any unexposed and improving types but looks a likely type to win this unplaced maiden. Shakeytry has a long absence to overcome here but he is very well suited by conditions, albeit he is unproven at a trip beyond two miles. He hasn't run since April and there was nothing wrong with that latest effort at Tramore as the winner and third placed horses have each won since and he also has sound hurdle experience to his his name. Crown Of Thorns cost E87,000 as a 3yo and is a half-brother to three winners but has yet to show worthwhile form while Miss Echrad has shown bits of form and could have her chance. Western Command was qualified for this race before his run at Navan last week and while this is an undeniably weak contest, he still probably needs to improve a little to win.
