Formscan  - CAVOLO NERO ran with plenty of credit on his handicap bow at Newmarket's Craven meeting behind a progressive type in Power Fizz, who runs in the 5.05. The extra furlong is unlikely to pose any concerns, with his dam Listed-placed over 1m2f, and a 2lb rise seems fair for James Ferguson's gelding. A short head separated Criminal Shore and Last Shamardal at Ripon last month and the latter has every chance of reversing the form on 1lb better terms. Enrolled completes the shortlist.
