Gordon Elliott trains the selection, and he said of him in a recent Racing Post stable tour: "He had a nice run in a bumper at Killarney. It'll be a month before he's back out, but I'm hoping he'll win a bumper fairly quickly before we send him over hurdles." The son of Stowaway had the useful Dos Picas behind him at Killarney, and he looks the one to beat here with Luke McGuinness taking a valuable seven pounds off his back. Clara Sorrento was no match for Monbeg Notorious on his debut at Tipperary, but he still ran well to finish third, and there should be plenty more to come from the French bred gelding who is tried in a hood for the first time. Jimmy Breekie has filled the runner-up spot on his last three starts, and another good effort can be expected from him. Minella Fair, who is a full-brother to eight time winner Time For Rupert, was a good second on his sole point-to-point start, and it'll be interesting to see how he gets on here.
