Going - Hdle/Bmp: Soft, yielding in places Chase: Soft to heavy, heavy in places. Fine

Formscan By Gary Carson - Willie Mullins seemed a touch disappointed that BOSTON BOB had to work so hard on his chase debut at Navan but he is sure to be in peak condition for his return to action here. The testing conditions then probably weren't ideal and even last season he needed a couple of tough rides to score on heavy ground. Though the ground will still be soft here it won't be as bad as at Navan and there is no doubting he has the class to get the job done. Lyreen Legend looks the one likely to give him most to do. He ran well when chasing home another classy Wylie horse in Back In Focus at Punchestown and wasn't done with when falling in the Grade 1 won by the same horse here over Christmas. Texas Jack came good here last time when given a peach of a ride by Paul Carberry. He had half a length to spare over Lord Windermere and it should be close between the pair again. They may be battling it out for minor honours though.
