Formscan By Michael Graham - AARED makes plenty of appeal. Kevin Prendergast's six-year-old gelding won over course and distance last month in a 50,000 euro handicap for which the handicapper has given him 8lbs. This race doesn't appear as competitive, though, so he has every chance of following up under 7lb claimer Dylan Hogan. Decent ground certainly seems key to Captain Cat who trailed in second-last in the Irish Lincoln at Naas on soft to heavy ground. If you put a line through that run, though, he has a chance. John Honeyman hasn't been out of the first two in his last four appearances but this is a step up in class from the races he has been contesting in Ayr, Dundalk and Wolverhampton. Bumbasina could be one for each-way players having finished fifth (beaten less than four lengths) behind Aared here. Top-weight Kerosin hasn't been beaten far in his recent races and might have a say.
