Formscan By Alan Magee - CITY OF TROY looked a useful sort when successful on debut here on Irish Derby weekend and certainly confirmed that impression with a blistering performance in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes also over seven furlongs at Newmarket. The Justify colt beat subsequent Group 2 winner Haatem by over six lengths and is a very exciting prospect. Bucanero Fuerte has gained all three wins at the Curragh and was particularly impressive when taking command inside the final furlong of the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes with Givemethebeatboys over five lengths back in third. It will be interesting to see how he copes with this extra furlong. The selection’s stablemate Henry Longfellow followed up a debut maiden win by again scoring over course and distance in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes, beating Islandsinthestream by two lengths.
