He blundered and unseated rider when holding a winning chance at the final fence at Listowel and while 3lbs higher now and without his 7lbs claimer, he should be competitive. Tesseract was beaten 1L at Tipperary and should be nicely suited by stepping back up in trip. The Dabbler is ground-versatile having won two chases on good ground recently and while he has obvious claims from his rating, today's race is more competitive than his recent wins. Winter Escape was capable on his day but his rating has fallen in recent times and was well held here recently.
