Formscan By Tom Weekes - Davy Russell teams up with Gigginstown for the first time this season on long-absent FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU on hurdles debut. A capable bumper performer, he hasn't run since February 2020 but has previous point-to-point experience and was declared to run at Listowel on September 22, meaning he has plenty homework done at this point. Barbary Master was 7.25L behind the selection at Thurles in February 2020 and while he subsequently won a bumper and has placed form over hurdles, similarly-owned FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU has more longterm potential. Chinx Of Light showed nice ability on debut in a Punchestown maiden hurdle last March and while he too lacks race-fitness, is open to more improvement. Aikenbreakinheart would ideally prefer a longer trip while Paddys Planet had some bumper form before winning his point-to-point 183 days ago.
