Formscan By Michael Graham - STATE MAN is four from five at Leopardstown and is taken to land this Grade 1 for the third year in a row. The reigning champion hurdler had his colours lowered by a race-fit Brighterdaysahead on his seasonal reappearance in the Morgiana at Punchestown, but can be expected to improve for the run. Prior to that runner-up berth at Punchestown, he landed six consecutive Grade 1 hurdle races. Brighterdaysahead is once again in receipt of the 7lb allowance for mares and is a stout opponent, albeit she may want a bit further. Winter Fog, who was third in the Morgiana, has plenty to find with the aforementioned pair but could be ridden to be best of the rest.
