He was held up in that seven-runner race and travelled strongly into contention before he hit the front at the final flight. He stayed on well to score by three lengths and had stablemate Quick Grabim (who he faces again) some four and a half lengths away in fourth. Quick Grabim had a tough task in trying to give Aramon 7lbs in Navan and they race off level weights today, though. The bookmakers expect Quick Grabim to overturn the form as he is a shorter price, however, Aramon was very good in Navan and it is reasonable to think there could me more improvement in him. Commander Of Fleet has been chalked up as favourite and looks a horse of considerable potential. After starting out with an easy victory in a point-to-point, he then impressed with a decisive win in the valuable Goffs Land Rover Bumper at Punchestown. He started this campaign with a clear-cut success at 1/5 in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown last month. As a four-year-old, he could be absolutely anything and you can see why the bookmakers are wary. Triplicate was beaten by Quick Grabim in Tipperary but has a 4lb pull in the weights today, so isn't out of it.
