Formscan By Gary Carson - It’s interesting that BALLYGUNNER CASTLE takes such a big jump up in trip now. The Soldier Of Fortune gelding didn’t appear to have the same gears as his rivals over two miles in a hot little rated novice hurdle at Navan last month. He won his bumper over two-miles-three so staying trips were always likely to bring out the best in him over timber. It looks a match between him and Ballybow. The Gigginstown gelding won well at Naas last time and may also appreciate going further now. The lowly rated Kalnoo only needs to complete in her own time to pick up black-type.
