Formscan By Mark Nunan - CORPORAL VIOLETTE beat a useful type in a course and distance maiden last month and wasn’t knocked about when unable to land a blow against the progressive Warren Beach at Naas. She’s been dropped a handy 3lb for that latest run and is well capable of winning a handicap off this sort of mark. Navagio won a Curragh maiden when hooded but was too free without it when fifth to Princess Rajj at Listowel. If he settles better in the refitted hood, he can get involved. Princess Rajj was well beaten when bidding for her hat-trick at Gowran but, given the form of her stable, it would be folly to discount her chances. Inchiquin Star has had two near misses this term and has been penalised as if she had two wins on the board, so this will be harder for her.
