Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - MOVEWITHTHETIMES had been in my mind for quite some time for the Close Brothers Novices' Handicap Chase, the finale on day one. As it turned out he didn't go there, with the Ted Walsh-trained Any Second Now entrusted with carrying the main hopes of owner J P McManus. Any Second Now didn't come up to market expectations, as the favourite could do no better than eighth place. Here Movewiththetimes can show the benefit of his three outings to date over the larger obstacles, which have all come at this venue. Barry Geraghty is aboard again now, and his mount has a lovely racing weight with ten stone thirteen to shoulder. The selection and Ballyandy pulled six lengths clear of the third in the 2017 Betfair Handicap Hurdle at Newbury, and that clearly marked out Paul Nicholls' charge as a young horse to follow closely. Last year's festival winner Tully East is back again, whilst not surprisingly there's plenty of others in the field worthy of consideration as well.
