Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - I'll take an each-way chance on BENATAR here. He'll earn connections a 60,000 pound bonus if managing to win this, after a Plumpton victory on November 20th. He's from the Lalor's great line - I remember his dam, Carrigeen Lily, doing me a few favours back in the day - and this fellow himself hasn't been beaten over the larger obstacles to date (3 on the track and 1 in the point-to-point field). Benatar was a first runner and a first winner when victorious at Loughbrickland in November 2016 for northern handler Karen McNeilly. Chicago Grey is already a Cheltenham Festival winner from this pedigree, and from the start Benatar has looked like one that could follow suit. Invitation Only, Finian's Oscar, Modus, Terrefort and Shattered Love are among the others to consider.
