Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Dual Pertemps hero SIRE DU BERLAIS tries top level company for just the second time now. He has to turn the tables on Flooring Porter and The Storyteller after they took the main prizes in the Grade One Leopardstown Christmas Hurdle in December. Given his Cheltenham record Sire Du Berlais can come forward sufficiently to reverse form, and his official rating of 160 puts him right in the thick of it. There was a legitimate excuse but Paisley Park lost his air of invincibility when seventh at odds-on for this heat in 2020. He attempts to take back the crown he landed in 2019. Current odds are hardly wildly attractive though. Hero of the hour from twelve months ago, Lisnagar Oscar shouldn’t be discounted. Fury Road and Vinndication will justifiably have their backers as well.
