Formscan By Tom Weekes - CHARLUS performed satisfactorily on his recent hurdling return and seems ground-versatile. Campaigned on the Flat last summer, he usefully finished in mid-field in the Ebor last August while his recent Punchestown effort behind a stablemate wasn’t a bad effort either. Recent winner Santo Sospir has potential to improve past the selection but steps out of maiden company for the first time. A debut bumper winner, the form of his recent Punchestown success is unexciting and he drops in distance, but can progress. Smart bumper mare Baby Kate was well beaten on her November reappearance but should benefit from that run.
