She's run both her races to date, over this course and distance, and on the form of those second and third placed efforts she has to have every chance in an ordinary affair. If first-time cheek-pieces have a positive effect on the former Richard Hannon flat campaigner, New River, then she could well be the biggest danger to Speckled Wood. Rated 104, the reasonably consistent Ma Belle Amie looks to hold cast-iron claims of reaching the frame – at least. Kiltipford Lady, Sister Annie and Vergalda are a trio of interesting newcomers worth keeping an eye on.
