Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - With three successes round here to his name, High Talk is the obvious one. In general though, you'd associate the eight-year-old with top-of-the-ground campaigning and with the burden of top-weight, High Talk might be a favourite to take on, despite the paucity of opposition. The one we'll take a chance on is WOODVILLA LAST. Trainer of this mare, Shane Nolan, got off the mark with Barnevelder at this venue in September. Woodvilla Last's sire, Mr Combustible gets plenty of hardy staying types and on the pick of her form, the seven-year-old has definite prospects of making the frame, at least, in this sort of company. Viking Splash was a welcome winner for 'Shark' Hanlon at the point-to-point at Balinaboola on Sunday and his Rudigreen is another each-way contender in this. The former Willie Mullins-trained Black Empress has a squeak returning from a break for Kieran Purcell. Philip Rothwell's pair, Jack The Ref and Cara Court need to raise their respective levels of performance. Local runners need to be respected at this venue nearly more than anywhere else and to that end Yachvili could well outrun his likely odds. To underline the unattractiveness of this event from a betting perspective, the other one in the line-up, Lady Sunshine would hardly generate shock waves were she to come out on top either.
