Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - She has to bounce back from a disappointing effort last time but UNDER THE SPELL is fancied to do just that, with Andrew Lynch up for the first time. The chestnut daughter of Carroll House was reluctant to go to the start at Ballinrobe on her latest effort, back in September. Maybe it wasn't altogether surprising then that she ended up pulling up. However, if reinvigorated now by a 65 day break, then Kevin McDonogh's charge has more than enough ability to get involved here. Italian Chorus is arguably the pick on form, but she's a mere four-year-old and the selection is preferred. Paul Nolan's other runner, Ceann Phoil Cailin was well talked-up in a recent Irish Field stable tour so she mightn't be completely out of it either. Goulane Vixen showed up very well against two good geldings last time and a repeat of that effort (which came in a first-time tongue-strap) would give her every chance now. Pumped Up Kicks, Tell Me Lucy and Daisyanabelle are three others that could come into it.
