Going - Soft, yielding in places changed to yielding after Race 1. Overcast
Odds-on backers cash in on Folsom Blues
He was an eyecatcher the first day and we were happy that he was ready to go to seven (furlongs). I thought he was very impressive really and I think he's a smart colt. I suppose the Tyros would be an obvious stepping stone for him from here. Lots to look forward to, hopefully.
Gilts grabs her opportunity on handicap debut
We are delighted with her. . Jack just said that she is mentally immature, which is lovely to hear when they have won. That would fit, as she just didn't know what she was doing in her earlier races and things didn't quite go right. . I walked the course there before racing and I thought the ground was lovely. She had a super draw and I just thought everything was in place for her to run a good race. . You never know in their first handicap. Anyway, it worked out well and she is maturing which is great. She is 51, so even if she gets clobbered she'll probably still be in a 0-60, which gives us options. Jack said between seven and a mile suits.
Rion Rubette lands another nice pot for Butler
She did it lovely. I was a bit worried if she was going to get there, but she ground it out real well and she knew where the line was. . She seems to really be getting a liking for Gowran. It's not that far away from us, so I'd say that's a big help to her. She's tricky enough when travelling and at the races. . Hopefully, if she is all right in the morning, she is entered in the Curragh Derby weekend in the fillies' handicap on the Saturday evening - if she's okay, touch wood she goes there.
Tynan proves Gowran Queen on Slattery's Aethelflaed
She done that nicely. We had two of them in it and I thought the two of them had a chance. They have to run in these races. It's not ideal taking on each other, but sure what can you do? . She ran well the last day. Orla gave her a nice ride. She's off to Fairyhouse now, she has another ride there.
Pre-race antics prove misleading for Slattery's Fallacy
I think he is a real nice horse. We told Basil (Holian, owner) he was a good horse and I'm glad it worked out. . He is a stayer; he'll stay two miles, I'd say. . Basil likes jumping, so I'd say that's probably what he'll end up doing. He is so big for stalls, he is 16'3. . He is a real quiet horse at home but he just acted up a bit today at the races. . He is in the Ulster Harp Derby actually and that's an engagement that we might take up. He only has seven stone-nine (pounds) at the moment. We'll get 7lb I suppose. If we got near the handicap proper, we might go.

Trustyourinstinct gives O'Brien and McMonagle Gowran double
He hasn't won for a little while, so it was nice to just come back and, get some confidence. Dylan just said that when he got to the front he was having a real good look around. It's nice to win with him and, he'll go back into stakes company now. He could potentially run on Derby weekend, or he could go on to Roscommon and, there's Limerick - the Martin Molony and the Lenabane. They are both coming up as well.
