THE OUTCIDER HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Permission was given for Rory's Gold (IRE) to wear a red hood to post, and for Approaching Dawn (IRE) to go to post early wearing a red hood.
Inside the final furlong, RORY’S GOLD (IRE), placed second, lugged quickly left-handed for 1 hit, giving a bump to Flying Moonlight (IRE), placed third.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of RORY’S GOLD (IRE).
Following the race, Lauren Young reported that Approaching Dawn (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
