An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference approximately 1 furlong out, involving Beset (GB), placed second, ridden by William Buick, Orchard Keeper (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Jack Mitchell and Overture (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Luke Morris.
In the first incident, the interference was found to be accidental as Beset (GB) shifted quickly right-handed, taking Orchard Keeper (IRE) slightly off its intended line.
In the second incident, Buick was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, as he allowed his mount to continue to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, resulting in Orchard Keeper (IRE) and Overture (GB) being short for room.
