McGuinness registers a 1-2-3 in Bellewstown claimer
the three horses had good chances although I wasn't expecting that, so it was grand and it is great to get a winner down here. Minaun View had a lovely run, he (jockey Patrick McGettigan) was drawn wide but he got to the front so was able to settle it down on him. Fair play to him. She travelled well and she had only ran on Wednesday. She's solid but it is the first time she has won and we had to drop her back to this class to win. She had been running well in handicaps but was just not getting there. She wanted a little ease in the ground. If she is not claimed, we will roll away with her.
Toned-down Full Volume wins easily at Bellewstown
Full Volume is a little bit of a brat, he's a bit hot and got very upset in the stalls in Down Royal. Had to be removed so he had run his race before he ever got there, but today he was very good. In the parade ring he was really good and didn't sweat up at all, but as soon as he (Foley) got on him, he started sweating and got a bit upset. He's a proper miler and will probably go further. He is a nice horse and got a lovely tow into the race so everything went right. He quickened up well and eased down. I hope he has a future as we thought he was a nice horse prior to Down Royal. We will go baby steps with him. I love Bellewstown, it is a great track. What they have done here in the last few years is amazing.
Bay Of Dreams adds to her British victories in Bellewstown
She had very bad luck, she nearly got brought down here the first day we ran her. It probably took her a run to get over that. We felt in Leopardstown it was a cracking run (third) and the ground was as quick that day as she wanted it. She came here absolutely bouncing. Ben was very good on her, he had a horse to follow there today and she won nicely. She's a horse we bought in the Horses In Training Sale and she has taken a long time to acclimatise. Now she is just starting to rock and roll. We spotted her at the Horses In Training Sale, I thought she was great value. She was a cheap filly and if she came back to that sort of form (in Britain) over here, she could win. It is hard to win from England to Ireland, but she has ability. I think she will (progress) and I think a bit more juice in the ground won't be any harm to her. She'll be okay to step up to a mile and a quarter at some point as well. I think so (one for Galway), if she could get into the handicap there. Obviously, it is very condensed in Galway. That would be the idea to end up in Galway.
Lyons registers first juvenile winner of year
we would have all have lost a lot of money if we were betting on this filly being out first two-year-old winner of the year, but we'll take it when it is coming. It has just been one of those years when we’ve just had to be patient. She surprised us in Naas to be honest, she did nothing since and when this race reopened, we put her in it. I said it's not the right track or anything like that and I didn't know whether she would sharpen up or not for her debut run but we found out that tonight. She's home-bred and will go for the Marwell (Listed, Naas) now to try and rob black-type. If she gets black-type, then they can keep her on the team and breed from her, which saves them having to buy them.

You'd be worried (about the trip) being by Inns Of Court, but Gavin thought a mile and a half is his trip. Gavin was adamant for a long time. It was a mile and one in Leopardstown and he broke really badly that day as well. I think today he broke a bit better. I know he was out the back, but Gavin has timed it perfectly. There's hurdling options as well. He has schooled a lot over hurdles. We have the option of going to Killarney in two weeks for the three-year-old maiden there. He jumps very well actually, he's a real natural jumper. I think hurdling should probably be his future. He really likes it and has taken to jumping very well. Gavin is a great fella and any time I need him to ride work he's there. He is attached to some big yards and is flying. I didn't want any jockey bar Gavin to ride him today because I just knew he would know him so well. He just gave him the perfect ride and crept away.
