James Moffatt was fined £650 for doubly declaring She Got Fast (IRE) to run in the ‘THE CARTMEL STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING NOVICES' HURDLE RACE (CLASS 4)’ and the ‘THE SWAN HOTEL & SPA HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 5)’ both at Cartmel, with the mare running in the latter.
Mr Matthew Fielding the rider of Oborne Lady (IRE) had jumped the inspection hurdle prior to the start.
The Stewards noted that the incident was accidental and accepted Mullins’ explanation that the mare locked on and jumped the hurdle despite his best efforts.
