Brian Hughes, the rider of Desert Point (IRE), was unseated when bypassing the final hurdle.
Hughes was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
Having heard his evidence, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and the incident was accidental and caused by the gelding ducking left to jump the hurdle as Hughes tried to steer right-handed to bypass.
Hughes further stated that he felt there was plenty of room to bypass the final hurdle and that he had no concerns with the bypassing procedures.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Elixer (IRE), placed fourth, lost its left fore shoe.
