Lynches Knock brings up quick-fire across-the-card double for Elliott
Hogan back riding winners aboard Frankie John
I love the horse, but when he got to the front he was a bit lairy. I knew we’d have to dig deep to be involved never mind win. I think he can win staying hurdles and he’ll be exciting to go chasing next year. I have to thank John Mahon and my parents who were offered plenty of money for him. It wasn’t enough for them, and they wanted to enjoy racing him. It’s important for me to have a horse like him in the yard and thanks to them for letting me ride him. I haven’t been riding all year and I’m still not one hundred per cent fit. I rode a couple during the week just to get my eye rightly in. He’s exciting and it’s good to have him.
O'Keeffe extends his advantage in the jump jockeys title race
He’s a horse we’ve always liking. He was disappointing in Navan, and I’d say the ground didn’t help him. It was a competitive race, he winged hurdles and I’m delighted with him. He’s had three runs (this season) and we might start looking at March. He’s quite a big, light-framed horse so maybe a month easy now and come back for the spring. He’s learning all the time and thanks to Colin Bowe who recommended him.
Wodhooh and Elliott just keep winning!
Kish Bank another for Elliott's Christmas juggernaut
It’s been an unbelievable week. Normally things don’t bounce right for you, but to come out with this amount of winners is unbelievable. Credit to all the team I have at home and all our owners and jockeys. Carl has been plagued with injuries over the last couple of years and he keeps coming back. He always rides a winner at the big festivals. I’m delighted for him as he’s around my place a long time and he works very hard. This horse likes a bit of better ground.
Lossiemouth fends off Brighterdaysahead in December Hurdle
Paul had to go with Anzadam. She stays two and a half miles so he wasn’t going to be doing anything wrong going with him. I’m sure both mares will be back here for the Dublin Racing Festival. There aren’t too many options for those types of horses. Anzadam couldn’t get cover and was jumping so well he took Patrick to the front. I’m wondering should we be making the running with him in future. He has a fair engine and if we can control him, he is probably a Grade One horse.
Big race success for Collins and Finegan
Red-hot Elliott bags another four at Leopardstown
He was a bit keen the last day, so we rode him to get him settled. He’s come a long way forward, I loved the way he galloped and hit the line and he could end up being a Fred Winter horse. I’d say the other fella (Hygge) may not have stayed.
