On the run to the line, the winner, Art Gallery (IRE), drifted left-handed as a result of its rider dropping his right rein causing Plaid (GB), placed second, to be moved off its intended line which in turn also moved Melody De Vega (IRE), placed third, off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Art Gallery (IRE).
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that his saddle slipped on Holy Fire (GB), unplaced.
