Al Mubhir (GB) and Mujtaba (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final ½ furlong when the winner, Anmaat (IRE), ridden by Jim Crowley, interfered with Certain Lad (GB), placed second, ridden by George Bass.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Anmaat (IRE)’s placing as although tight for room Certain Lad (GB) lost no significant momentum and was always being held to the line with the winning distance being a neck.
Crowley was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction causing Bass to be slightly tight for room.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Mujtaba (GB) placed fifth, hung left-handed.
