One More Wave (GB) overshot the start.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon upon arrival at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Approximately one furlong out, the winner, Havana Sky (GB), edged right-handed before being quickly corrected by the rider, causing the weakening One More Wave (GB), unplaced, to become briefly short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Havana Sky (GB).
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Happy Tears (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed under pressure and Jack Doughty reported that Local Bay (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run on several occasions from approaching the final furlong.
