THE PERTEMPS NETWORK EMEA HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 3) (Qualifier for The Challenger Two Mile Hurdle Series Final) Permission was given for Double Oban (GB) and Aeroplane Blonde (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
The raceday privilege request for Ito Ditto (FR), trained by Nicky Martin, to wear a red hood to post was not submitted.
Martin was warned as to her responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend passing the stands, involving Double Oban (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Lewis Stones, and L’ASTROBOY (GER), unplaced, ridden by Kielan Woods.
The interference was found to be accidental as Double Oban (GB) went to move right-handed and was quickly corrected by Stones, causing the gelding to shift slightly left-handed, which in turn caused Woods to take a slight check.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Double Oban (GB), placed fifth, had lost its left- hind shoe.
