Lioness defies a long layoff at Limerick
she has had her problems and I don’t have her too long but we thought a little bit of her. I thought the trip would be a bit short but that ground is important, as she likes a cut. As long as she stays sound, she is something to look forward to. She had been in pre-training prior to joining me three months ago and I’m delighted for her owners the Purcells. The lads picked her up to go breeding with her but decided to give her another crack at racing. Paddy (Harnett) was great on her and it probably wasn’t the strongest of maidens, so we might now have a nice handicap mark.
Night is Electric on turf debut
The switch to the grass was a big help for her and the easy ground wasn't a concern, as the feeling was that she mightn't have been loving Dundalk. We came to find out, she won very well and it was probably a fair effort against older horses. When she started off, we were hoping she'd win a Dundalk maiden but she was disappointing and had also been slow to come to hand. She is a well-bred filly and hopefully she can progress.

Heaven for Thehell Partnership at Limerick
the syndicate are a bit of a mix from the north (of Ireland), two of the guys are now living in Dubai and flew home for this, so it is lovely to get this winner. They are delighted. We put together the partnership this year and bought this horse privately from Eoin McDonagh of Shanaville Stables after he has won at Cork (last September). We do a lot of business with Eoin and he is very good to advise on his horses. He won his maiden for Gavin Cromwell and went unsold at the sales afterwards but we liked him, so came home from that sale and put a partnership together to buy him. He is a Premier Handicap prospect now and he could be one to consider for the Galway Mile later in the summer. He handles soft ground and he has no problems with the ups-and-downs, as he is quite balanced. He is one to look forward to.
Chablis Rock completes cross card four-timer for Joseph O'Brien
She handled the ground well and while she is by Sioux Nation, she stays well. She is a big, slow-strider and Decky kept it simple and she won well. It was only a middle-of-the-road maiden but she now has a winning bracket. You'd love to find blacktype at some stage with her but we'll go for a handicap now. She has the size and scope to improve.
