Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.

David Bridgewater could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance other than it being a more competitive race.
Following the race, Harry Bannister, reported that Ashington (GB), which was pulled up, never travelled and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
