Permission was given for Elashgar (IRE) to go straight to post from the pre-parade ring.
The winner, Sands of Seve (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 7 February 2026, where the gelding finished third of seven runners, beaten 7 lengths.
The explanation given by the representative of Robert Cowell that the gelding may have benefitted from the first time application of a visor, was noted.
Sands of Seve (GB) was routine tested.
