The winner, Royal Blaze (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Catterick Bridge on 23 July 2025 where the gelding finished sixth of ten runners, beaten by 7 lengths.
It was noted that Ewan Whillans could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Following the race, Tom Kiely-Marshall reported that Dazzling Spirit (IRE), unplaced, was slow away.
