Entering the home straight, Saaheq (GB), placed sixth, shifted slightly right-handed causing Zulu Zander (IRE), placed third, to have to take a slight check off heels, which in turn caused the rider of Kick On Kick On (GB), placed seventh, to have to take a precautionary check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Something Lucky (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away and Darragh Keenan reported that Zulu Zander (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed.
