The winner, Legendary Day (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run on the flat at Haydock on 19 July 2024, where the gelding finished seventh of eight, beaten by 7 ¼ lengths.
Barry Brennan's explanation that Legendary Day (GB) had benefitted from a couple of runs over hurdles following the race at Haydock, and had also appreciated a return to the all-weather; his explanation was noted and Legendary Day (GB) was routine tested.
