Permission was given for Run Wild (GER) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
Approaching the final furlong marker, Cloak Of Spirits (IRE), placed sixth, hung right-handed, causing the rider of Passion (IRE), unplaced, to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Cloak Of Spirits (IRE).
The performance of West End Girl (GB), which finished unplaced, beaten by 8¾ lengths, was considered.
Mark Johnston was unable to confirm whether the filly had performed poorly due to West End Girl (GB)’s lack of experience.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
Following the race, Andrea Atzeni reported that Cloak Of Spirits (IRE), which started favourite and finished sixth, hung right-handed and Ryan Moore reported that Passion (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
