Brillante makes break through in Naas opener
She did that well. I'd say it was a fair contest,. Twenty-one ran and the second was six-lengths ahead of the third. You can argue maybe she was unlucky at the Curragh. She put in a very good performance and she's built on that today. Hopefully we'll get black type with her before the year is out. She's pretty adaptable trip wise. She has a lot of pace. In fairness to Chris, that's why he held onto her the last day because he knew she had an awful lot of pace. He was very happy with her today. He said she did everything very professional but he would have loved if he had something to race with over on the far side. She likes a bit of ease and is a very genuine, kind filly. Lots to look forward to.

The form of the maiden he ran in at the Curragh has worked out very well,. The horse that finished third won very well at Punchestown and the winner was second in the Group 1. This horse improved after that run. He galloped well and Donagh said he had plenty left in him. I'd say we can go seven (furlongs) or stay six. We might give him another run or two this season. We'll see what Kia (Joorabchian) wants to do. He's a nice horse for the future.

She's a nice filly. I ran her over six-furlongs a few times just to educate her,. She came from the breeze ups and she just kind of wanted to do more than I wanted her to do. I thought while I was getting her beaten, she was learning a lot. I think with the drop back to five (furlongs) now you are seeing the real filly. She ran well here against the horse that won the Richmond (Man’s Best Friend). The next day Michael O'Callaghan's horse (Push The Boat Out) beat her and Aidan's (Marco Polo) was second. I ran her back seven days later in the Listed race, I thought she could be competitive in it. She just knew she had the race the week before and she ran really well to be third. I'd say that's as soft as she'd want it. I'd say she'd want better ground. I think she'll go to Dundalk for the five-furlong Listed race (Legacy Stakes) in two weeks time.
