The Clerk of the Scales reported that Joe Williamson, the rider of ZARA’S UNIVERSE, placed fourth, trained by Andrew Crook had weighed in at 10 stone, having weighed out at 9 stone 13 ½ lb.
The rider, the trainer and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
Williamson was suspended for 3 days as he deliberately weighed in without the pad which he weighed out with and Crook was fined £650 as he had changed the pad after the jockey had weighed out with it.
