The Starter reported that Jack Daniel (IRE) was very reluctant to enter the starting stalls.
Steph Hollinshead was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Jack Daniel (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the home straight involving Love Your Work (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Pat Cosgrave; Jack Daniel (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Probert; Distinction (IRE), unplaced, ridden by P J McDonald and Panama City (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Harry Burns.
Cosgrave was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he angled his mount right-handed towards the stands rail without being fully clear of Jack Daniel (IRE), which was carried off its intended line and in turn moved Distinction (IRE) onto Panama City (GB), forcing Burns to take a check on the rail.
Thereafter, Cosgrave had continued edging slightly right-handed when not clear of Jack Daniel (IRE) which was hampered and made contact with Distinction (IRE) unbalancing that gelding.
Shortly after leaving the stalls, Milteye (GB), placed third, lugged right-handed crowding Panama City (GB), placed fourth, for room which in turn hampered Apache Canyon (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Milteye (GB).
