An enquiry was held to consider why Sarah-Jayne Davies was running Albert George (GB) here at Warwick on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Bangor-On-Dee on 13 April 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer stated that the jockeys were reporting the ground was riding quick at Bangor-On-Dee and there was no rain there, whereas, having walked the course here today at Warwick, in her opinion, after rain showers and sufficient watering to the course, she is willing to take her chance and run Albert George (GB) on the Good ground here today.
An enquiry was also held to consider why Olly Murphy was running Overthetop (IRE) here at Warwick on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Bangor-On-Dee on 13 April 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer stated that after having walked both courses he felt the ground at Bangor-On-Dee, in his opinion, was rough and uneven and that after having rain, he felt the Good ground here today at Warwick would suit Overthetop (IRE) better on this occasion.
