The winner, Hypotenus (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Ludlow on 17 December 2025 where the gelding finished seventh of nine runners beaten by 35½ lengths.
The explanation given by representative of Joe Tickle that Hypotenus (GB) may have benefited from an uncontested lead and a drop back to novice grade this occasion, was noted.
Hypotenus (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Sam Twiston-Davies reported that Juggernaut (FR), placed third, jumped left- handed.
