The Starter reported that Mr Sam Lee, the rider of Dorset Dazzler (GB); Mr Henry Crow, rider of Dorset Diamond (GB) and Mr Daniel Williams, rider of Fan De Blues (FR) had not approached the tape at a walk or a jig-jog thereby causing a false start on two occasions, resulting in a standing start.
The riders and the Starters were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
Mr Lee was suspended for 1 day on a date to be notified by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for misconduct at the start.
As this was his second offence in 12 months, Mr Crow was suspended for 2 days on dates to be notified by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for misconduct at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference after the last fence involving Guy (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Mr Samuel Scott and Dorset Diamond (GB), placed third, ridden by Mr Henry Crow.
Mr Scott was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without timely correction moving Mr Crow off his intended line.
