Permission was given for Brosay (GB) and Amerjeet (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Dream Voyage (GB) to be mounted on the course and to go to post early.
Frederick Larson, the rider of Ardennes (IRE), was unseated at the start.
Having been checked by the Doctor, Larson was deemed fit to ride.
The Starter reported that Camera Shy (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and broke out, before being withdrawn at 1:59pm.
Michael Bell was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line, when the winner, Carbine Harvester (FR), ridden by Harry Burns interfered with Brosay (GB), placed second, ridden by Edward Greatrex.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Carbine Harvester (FR)’s placing.
The Stewards could not be satisfied that, with an uninterrupted run to the finish, Brosay (GB) would have finished in front of Carbine Harvester (FR) as the interference was minimal, with the second-placed horse losing very little ground and momentum and the interference taking place so close to the winning line, with the winning distance being a head.
The Stewards deemed the interference to be accidental as Carbine Harvester (FR) shifted only marginally right-handed.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Berkshire Kameo (GB), placed fourth, hung both ways.
