The Veterinary Officer reported that Saliko (GB), trained by Jack Jones, appeared to show evidence of possible administration of a substance around its mouth.
The representative of Jack Jones, the Veterinary Officer and an Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer were interviewed.
As the Stewards could not be satisfied that Saliko (GB) had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of the race, they withdrew the filly, ordered it to be routine tested and referred the matter to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Callum Hutchinson reported that Famous Shoes (GB), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls.
