One furlong out, the winner, Division Day (GB), shifted left-handed for one hit, taking Spring Chorus (GB), placed third, momentarily off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and that it had not improved the placing of Division Day (GB).
The winner, Division Day (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Redcar on 23 August 2025, where the gelding finished fifth of six runners, beaten 23¼ lengths.
Brian Ellison’s explanation that the gelding had benefitted from the step up in trip from 1 mile 2 furlongs to 1 mile 6 furlongs, was noted.
Division Day (GB) was routine tested.
