An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the final bend entering the home straight, involving Greenways (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Mr James King, Saucats (FR), placed third, ridden by Mr William Biddick, and Ugo Bingo (FR), placed second, ridden by Mr Richard Upton.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur, Mr Upton was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The interference was found to be accidental as Greenways (IRE) edged slightly left-handed on the bend, taking Ugo Bingo (FR) marginally off its intended line, which in turn made contact with Saucats (FR) resulting in Saucats (FR) quarters being turned.
