THE MIDNITE ARE UPPING THE BETTING GAME HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) (DIV II) Permission was given for Spirited Dancer (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Spirited Dancer (GB), trained by Daniel and Claire Kubler, to go early to post was not submitted.
The Kubler’s were warned as to their responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
The winner, What What What (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wolverhampton on 02 February 2026 where the gelding finished ninth of nine runners, beaten by 7 lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Michael and David Easterby could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
What What What (GB) was routine tested.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Top Biller (GB), unplaced, ridden by Dylan Hogan, Eldeyaar (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Alex Jary, Up The Monk (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Harry Davies, and BARNEY’S BAY, unplaced, ridden by Faye McManoman.
The interference was found to be accidental as Top Biller (GB) shifted left-handed at the same time as Eldeyaar (IRE) began to overrace, causing Jary to have to take off heels, resulting in Davies having to steady Up The Monk (GB) for several strides which in turn caused McManoman to check BARNEY’S BAY on the rail.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately a furlong out involving the winner, What What What (GB), ridden by Joanna Mason, Kamekist (GB), placed third, ridden by Kieran O’Neill, Gundogan (GB), placed second, ridden by William Carson, Top Biller (GB), unplaced, ridden by Dylan Hogan, Up The Monk (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Harry Davies and Eldeyaar (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Alex Jary.
The interference was found to be accidental as Kamekist (GB) shifted slightly right-handed at the same time as What What What (GB) moved left-handed, causing Kamekist (GB) to become unbalanced and shift left-handed, moving Gundogan (GB) left-handed onto Top Biller (GB) and in turn onto Eldeyaar (IRE).
