An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving the winner What What What (GB), ridden by Billy Garritty, Sun Keeper (GB), placed second, ridden by Kieran O’Neill, and Bothy Park (USA), placed fifth, ridden by Jason Hart.
The interference in relation to O’Neill was found to be accidental as What What What (GB) jumped quickly right-handed leaving the stalls, causing O’Neill to become short of room and have to take a check.
Shortly after, Garritty was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to continue to drift further right-handed without sufficient correction, causing Hart to be moved off his intended line and have to take a slight check.
Billy Garritty the rider of What What What (GB) drawn 2, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
